Reinforcing steel production
Our journey to quality begins with the input raw materials. Reinforcing steel and wire for general use are produced from coils of rolled wire, which we purchase exclusively from proven steelworks. These deliveries are always accompanied by certificates with detailed information on the chemical and mechanical properties of the material, which is essential for further precise processing. Every coil that enters our production undergoes careful inspection to ensure that it meets our high standards and requirements for the final products.
During the actual production of reinforcing steel and ribbed wire, the materials are subjected to a series of strict tests. Particular emphasis is placed on controlling the diameter tolerance, which must meet strict deviations of a maximum of +6% and -4%. We also measure the ovality of the wire and, for ribbed variants, we analyze the rib geometry in detail - its height, distance, reference area and angle of inclination, all in accordance with applicable standards.
We perform these measurements on the RM 202 diagnostic machine with a frequency of every 20 tons of material produced. This is followed by further mechanical tests on the EV 20 tearing machine, where we focus on key parameters such as yield strength (Rp 0.2), tensile strength (Rm), ratio (Rm/Rp 0.2) and ductility (Agty). All results of these demanding tests are carefully archived, which allows for complete traceability and transparency of production.
Lattice Girdens type E, P & reinforcement type J
The same rigorous inspection is carried out on our other products - lattice girders & spacers, such as type E lattice girders, type P single girders or type J reinforcement. At the start of each order, a reference piece is first made, which is subject to detailed dimensional inspection using a caliper, meter and metal band. All gauges are of course regularly calibrated according to our calibration plan.
The shear strength of the welds is then tested on the EV 20 tensile testing machine – a critical parameter for the safety and stability of the structure. The calibration of this machine is carried out once a year, which guarantees the accuracy of the measurements. Only after these initial tests have been successfully completed is the order released for series production. In addition, during production, a random dimensional check is carried out at least once per shift by the machine operator or adjuster. For larger orders exceeding 20 kilometers, we re-test the weld strength to ensure constant quality.
Production supervision
Our commitment to the highest quality is also supported by independent supervision. We cooperate with renowned institutions such as TZUS Ostrava, TSÚS Bratislava, Prüfstelle für Betonstahl Prof.Dr.-Ing Gallus Rehm GmbH from Munich and TÜV Austria GMBh from Vienna, which regularly conduct audits and supervise our production.
External control is further proof of transparency and trust in our products and processes.
