Reinforcement in railway sleepers

New product

Reinforcement in railway sleepers has undergone innovation efforts in our company, where the diagonal is welded to the lower wire in two places thanks to a double bend. This procedure increases the strength and stability of the entire structure of the sleeper to a considerable extent. Advantages of this solution: 

Increased strength and stability:
The double welded diagonal guarantees a stronger connection of the individual parts of the reinforcement, which leads to a better distribution of pressure and a higher resistance to dynamic loads. 

Better resistance to material fatigue:
As a result of the double bend and welding in two places, the distribution of pressure is improved, which reduces the risk of fatigue cracking and extends the life of the sleepers.

Improved rail transport safety:
Stronger and more resilient reinforcement contribute to the overall safety of rail transport, an advantage crucially important for high-speed lines, where the demands on the reliability of the infrastructure are extreme.

If required by customers, we are able to produce reinforcement in any length (with one centimetre steps), ranging from 1 m to 14.00 m, and the cut of diagonal ending will always be on the lower or upper wire. The height of the product ranges from 70 mm to 400 mm. At the customer’s request, we can use both smooth and ribbed reinforced steel.
